Om Namah shivaya!!!

We attended a Rudra Puja on 7th September,2010. It was performed by Senior teachers of ‘Art of Living’(One of the largest NGOs in the world), Swami Gyantej. One of the most memorable moments of my life..Just cant explain the feeling.

The word Pooja, – “Poo” means fullness and ”Ja” means that which has come out of fullness. Pooja is like imitating the divine and showing gratitude to Almighty for all that HE has bestowed to us.

Thanking with flowers, for all the beautiful flowers around. Thanking with Water, for the refreshing rains. Thanking with light of lamp(diya) for the sunlight, thanking with frangrance of incense sticks for all for all the beautiful frangrance in the universe.

The vedic chants done during the pooja has much more significance that we can even imagine. Hymns and sounds harmonize our world , the cosmos and inner being.
More than whom we pray, the person who prays and the intention behind the same has more significance. And when the entire being gets immersed in it, the only thing we can convey is ‘silence’.
